Guarding the Heart, Soul, and Mind Against the Collective Ill Will of Toxic Communities
In many esoteric traditions, magick is often simply understood as bringing about change in reality according to the will and intent that are expressed through a person's beliefs, thoughts, words, and actions. The type of magick that manifests then depends on the nature of that will and intent, the energy invested in advancing them, and the actions taken to give them expression in reality.
So, if a community system has ill intentions toward us, puts focused energy into carrying out those intentions, and takes actions based on that ill will to bring about an intended harmful outcome in our lives, then what they are doing is practicing baneful magick against us. They may not view themselves as practicing magick, but if their collective intentions, energetic focus, and coordinated actions are directed toward producing harmful outcomes in our lives, then they are engaging in what many esoteric traditions would regard as baneful magick, whether they recognize it by that name or not.
This is why, when dealing with community systems, it is important to pay close attention to what their underlying intentions, motivations, objectives, and desired outcomes are, and how they direct their focused communal energy toward shaping the world around them. This is because the way a community collectively directs its will, energy, and actions ultimately shapes the kind of influence it has on the lives of others, whether for good or for ill.
The primary concern here is with community systems that use their collective influence to manipulate, intimidate, ostracize, or undermine others by directing their collective will, focused communal energy, and coordinated actions toward destructive rather than life-giving ends. And if you aren't a spiritual person or a person of faith, it might be time to start truly getting to know God, the Divine, or the deeper spiritual dimensions of reality. This is because cultivating a relationship with something greater than ourselves can provide wisdom, discernment, inner strength, and a moral compass that helps us to keep our own hearts, souls, and minds protected from the influence of unhealthy community systems that are using their collective ill will and harmful intent to produce outcomes that undermine rather than strengthen the well-being of others.
I know that after I started to take my own pure-hearted relationship with God seriously, where inner transformation, the cultivation of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, and the refinement of my character all became central to my spiritual life, the Divine has protected me so many times from the baneful intentions of community systems that wanted to use their collective influence, coordinated actions, and shared ill will to bring harm into my life.
At first though, when I wasn't as spiritually grounded, spiritually discerning, and spiritually protected as I am today, I was far more vulnerable to the influence of toxic community systems and to the effects that their ill will had on my life. But as my relationship with God deepened and my inner life became more firmly rooted in inner transformation, depth of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, and the refinement of my character, I gradually learned to recognize harmful intentions much earlier, to guard my heart more carefully, and to set boundaries for myself around environments that were not aligned with what is truly good, righteous, just, and life-giving.
This, of course, doesn't mean that, going forward in my own life, that the weapons won't still form against me at the hands of a toxic community system that is practicing baneful magick together—due to their own lack of inner transformation, moral integrity, and growth in character. But it does mean that, in my experience, those weapons will not prosper in the ways that their ill will and ill intent had originally intended. This is because my relationship with God has continually transformed my heart, renewed my mind, strengthened my discernment, refined my character, and established my sense of self-worth in ways that have made me far less susceptible to the harmful influence of people and community systems whose collective will is directed toward inflicting harm on others.
This means that while I cannot control the intentions or actions of others when a community system chooses to operate from a place of collective ill will rather than from a place of wisdom, integrity, and genuine care for others—in my own life, I can continually choose to align my own heart, soul, and mind with what is truly good, righteous, just, and life-giving. And in doing so, I trust that God will continue to guide, refine, and protect me along the way, even when a toxic community system still chooses to practice baneful magick together against me through its collective ill will, intentions, focused energy, and actions.
